Key Responsibilities
- Ensure welding and fabrication work meets project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Review and approve welding documentation such as WPS/WPQR, welding procedures, and technical reports.
- Act as the main contact for welding-related matters with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Participate in inspections, audits, and testing activities at workshops and construction sites.
- Support resolution of technical queries, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Monitor contractor progress and performance, and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
- Promote and ensure compliance with HSE rules and safe working practices.
- Coordinate with project team and other disciplines to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline).
- International Welding Engineer diploma.
- Strong knowledge of welding practices and standards.
- Experience in welding engineering on large industrial projects.
- Ability to review and challenge contractor documentation and performance.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
