Flow Assurance Engineer

Location: Malaysia

Job Purpose
An experienced Flow Assurance Engineer is required to deliver flow assurance and process engineering analysis across offshore and onshore energy projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will support studies from early concept through to detailed design and operational phases.

This role suits an engineer who can work independently, take ownership of technical studies, and clearly communicate engineering solutions through calculations, reports, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver flow assurance and process engineering analysis from concept selection to detailed design

• Develop and maintain flow assurance models and analyse results to support engineering decisions

• Identify and mitigate flow assurance risks including hydrates, wax, scale, corrosion, asphaltenes, and liquid management

• Produce high-quality technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation

• Support engineering and field development studies

• Ensure designs are safe, operable, and compliant with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

• Liaise with other engineering disciplines to manage interfaces and resolve technical issues

• Participate in project reviews, design reviews, and technical meetings

• Present technical results to project stakeholders and clients

• Contribute to business development activities and technical knowledge sharing initiatives

• Support team leadership with coordination and mentoring where required

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering degree in chemical, mechanical, petroleum, or a related discipline

• Extensive experience in process and flow assurance engineering

• Proven delivery of multiple flow assurance and process engineering projects

• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and multiphase flow behaviour

• Solid knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid properties, and phase behaviour

• Experience with process equipment such as separators, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and pressure protection devices

• Strong understanding of flow assurance challenges across the project lifecycle

• Experience using industry-standard flow assurance and process simulation tools

• Ability to deliver complete engineering documentation including design philosophies and operational strategies
