Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead and manage mechanical engineering activities for major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The role involves overseeing project execution from design through commissioning, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical engineering activities across all project phases (FEED, EPC, commissioning).
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and quality procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven experience in project engineering and execution.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with international standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Experience working in the Middle East/Qatar is an advantage.
