About the Role

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will work with the production and project teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for innovative assemblies used by our international customers in demanding semiconductor and aerospace environments. The area of responsibility ranges from the identification of suitable cable assembly and testing processes to the implementation of prototype status to validated and volume-compatible series production. With the results developed, you create the necessary documents and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Liason for Product Specialists and Application Engineers during product development
  • Partner with production leader and manufacturing specialist/technician to identify equipment/process improvement needs
  • Support derivative development efforts
  • Troubleshoot product issues and drive root cause problem-solving and resolution
  • Build own work instructions and/or product process sheet settings including owning of technical content and approval
  • Provide product engineering input during product spec review process
  • Own and drive continuous improvement in equipment/process stability and capability
  • Troubleshoot equipment/process upsets and drive root cause problem-solving and resolution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical course (STEM subjects)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proven track record of effective troubleshooting in technical environments
  • Strong aptitude for quick learning and the ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies, processes and subject matter
  • Proactive and pragmatic way of doing things
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Systematic and analytical way of working
  • Ability to travel up to 10 %

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of chemical analysis methods
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis and process optimization methodologies
  • Professional experience in the field of cable, cable assembly or printed circuit board production
