The Commissioning Engineering & Service Technician - Packaging will be part of the Assembly & Check Out Team and the role will maintain, repair and service customer production equipment and systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and start packaging machines at customer sites
- Install, service and upgrade equipment in accordance with detailed instructions and work orders
- Perform functional tests
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns
- Maintain accurate service records so that the performance of equipment can be monitored
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical or software issues.
- Ensure systems operate according to safety standards
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance
- Document service activities and machine performance
- Punch list management with customers and resolution
To succeed in this role you should have/be:
- Mechatronics or technical diploma
- Proven experience at least 3 years
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components and automation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Able to manage multiple projects/orders simultaneously
- Fluent spoken and written both English and Italian a third language is a plus
- Open to travel at least 140 days per annum
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Goal-oriented and customer focus
- Able to work under pressure
