Our client, an international Operating Company, is currently recruiting for the position of HSE Methods Lead based in Aberdeen. This is an onshore PAYE contract role working on a hybrid basis. The individual will be providing HSE expertise and ensure effective HSE methods are in place across the business (systems, processes, and procedures).
 
The role is based within the Central HSSE Department.  The objective of the Central HSSE Department is to support the company’s Assets and Central Services to ensure safe and efficient operations with a strong safety culture whilst minimising impact to the environment, reducing emissions and promoting the improvement of health and wellbeing throughout our workforce.  
 
 
The job-holder plays a key role in:-
 
Ensuring that each site has in place the correct systems, processes and procedures for HSE
Ensuring a compliance monitoring system is in place to check the robustness of these systems, procedures and processes
Ensuring that the systems, procedures and processes meet statutory requirements and mandatory company rules and general specifications
Ensuring there is detailed analysis and lessons learned systems in place across all sites so that the systems, procedures and processes can be kept up to date with the incorporation of any lessons learned/new ways of working
 
 
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
 
Focal point for the company’s HSE Compliance monitoring system
Carry out compliance checks on HSE procedures and processes and carry out HSE audits to identify robustness of system.  Identify and put in place actions to correct any findings
Focal point for OneMaedtro implementation in the company
Create and manage the various HSE reporting methods used across the company by the Central and Asset HSE teams
Responsible for carrying out quality check on all new Synergi cases with asset Including governance meetings
Contact and focal point for HSE tools including Synergi, My Safety, COSHH,  Perfect day and Fatigue Management Tool
Onshore focal point for the company’s permit system. 
Synergi Super User for UK Affiliate
Owner and developer of Key HSE Power BI reports
Facilitate accident investigation/root cause analysis
Undertake peer reviews of data reporting and root cause analysis on HSE incidents for best practice. Interrogate trends and common themes in order to make recommendations for improvement
Facilitate HSE alerts weekly meetings
Company UK COREX member
Focal point for Central HSE monthly performance review
Contribute to the HSE Management Board meetings
Prepare regular reports/presentations and liaise with EP HSE and One HS, to influence corporate programs and processes
Monitor HSE reporting data ensuring data source governance and accuracy in order to allow EXCOM and HQ to make accurate business decisions
Support Operational Safety Lead with safety critical task reviews and facilitate workshops held with sites to go through safety critical procedures and human failure analysis
Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to influence the agenda for continuous improvement in HSE reporting
 
 
Requirements:
 
Relevant qualification within occupational health and safety
Site operational experience preferred
Capable of influencing the impact of emerging legislation and industry trends
Good knowledge of UK onshore and offshore health & safety legislation
Previous experience using Synergi, E Permit & Power BI
Knowledge of Safety critical task analysis
Experience of incident/accident statistics collection and analysis
Strong prioritisation, time management and organisational skills.
Good presentation skills
Adept at working on own initiative
Effective communication skills, approachable manner, and experience of cross-departmental working
Holds or willing to obtain BOSIET and offshore medical
