JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Field Engineer (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Tengiz (28/28), Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures all project activities lead to safe construction, incident-free shut-down and start-up and operational reliable facilities.
• Ensures the design / engineering effort is consistent with the operational needs for safe operating facilities and work practices.
• Liaises between Base Operations / Maintenance / Reliability / Power Ops and other TCO Base Business departments and project personnel.
• Participates in the development and review of different deliverables such as, Constructability Review, Construction Job Packs, Business Partners Work Method Statements etc.
• Analyzes and resolves contractor queries related to design, construction / installation activities.
• Can participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis studies.
• May help assist less experienced employees in work procedures and standard technical information.
• Participates in technical networks and other knowledge-sharing activities and develops strong teamwork and collaboration skills within local work groups.
• Uses quality tools and principles in executing own work.
• Understands and can articulate customer requirements.
• Participates in effective internal meetings using quality tools.
• Understands and applies metrics to improve own work processes.
• Clearly communicates technical and business detail as it pertains to their particular area of functional expertise.
• Provides input to work scope development, including prioritization.
• Actively participates in all required studies, design review sessions, technical meetings and provides technical engineering and operations input during discussions.
• Works closely with engineering, construction, and systems completion teams to develop a handover plan, which minimizes impact to the availability of the existing system.
• Assists project team with Management of Change (MOC) process and help with obtaining approvals from Operations for Project Input and Approvals and Tie-ins.
• Leads efforts to plan the deployment of back-up facilities to address necessary equipment outages.
• Participates in iHAZID and/or HAZOP Reviews to ensure constructed facilities are safe and meet requirements.
• Participates in Constructability and model reviews to ensure constructed facilities are safe and meet requirements.
• Reviews design drawings to ensure these comply with operations and maintenance requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Higher (technical) education
• Work experience no less than 5 years of experience in CSA engineering with minimum 2 years' experience of working in site-based CSA engineering role for existing oil and gas production facilities.
• Has extensive knowledge in the oil and gas field regarding the safe performance of work / procedures for health, safety, environmental protection and health
• Able to operate in an integrated team environment with a desire and ability to build trust and respect throughout the team
