Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the implementation of a quality management program for a major oil and gas project in Qatar. The role ensures effective application of the contractor’s quality management system during procurement, fabrication, and installation activities.

Reporting and Relationships

• Functionally reports to Head of Quality

• Interfaces with internal project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors

• Provides feedback on quality performance and maintains project KPIs

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain interfaces with contractors to ensure quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively

• Participate in audits and manage closure of findings

• Provide feedback on quality issues and overall project quality performance

• Communicate, coordinate, and advise the Head of Quality on contractor and vendor quality performance

• Conduct other quality-related tasks as directed by Head of Quality

• Capture lessons learned from fabrication activities to improve processes and specifications

• Manage fabrication quality issues and risks effectively

• Participate in vendor pre-qualification and liaise with internal resources for approval

• Coordinate vendor performance evaluations during project execution

HSE and Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure all activities comply with company safety, health, environment, and quality policies and standards

• Comply with anti-trust, competition, and internal firewall policies

• Contribute to the development of local employees as part of the national workforce program

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in quality in the oil and gas industry

• Experience with oil and gas companies, contractors, or service companies

• Knowledge of relevant industry standards

• Ability to manage development and implementation of quality management systems
