As a Senior Mechanical (Integrity) Engineer based at the Wytch Farm oilfield near Corfe Castle, Dorset, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the mechanical integrity and safety of critical static equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a high-impact environment, taking ownership of integrity risks and regulatory compliance to safeguard asset performance and environmental standards.
You will lead senior mechanical engineering tasks, including approval of piping isometrics, purchase specifications, and quality documentation, while maintaining close collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders. Your expert judgment will guide the management of asset risk in line with industry best practices and safety legislation such as PSSR, PSR, and COMAH.

You will lead senior mechanical engineering tasks, including approval of piping isometrics, purchase specifications, and quality documentation, while maintaining close collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders. Your expert judgment will guide the management of asset risk in line with industry best practices and safety legislation such as PSSR, PSR, and COMAH.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in senior mechanical engineering roles focusing on static equipment integrity.
- Strong knowledge of UK onshore safety legislation and codes relevant to pressure systems and pipelines.
- Experience in performing code-compliant calculations and reviewing third-party engineering reports.
- Competence in risk assessment, corrosion management strategies, and integrity KPI preparation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build strong working relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a solutions-focused and self-motivated approach within high-hazard environments.
- Ability to mentor and support junior engineering colleagues.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or active progression towards professional membership.
- API and/or EEMUA certifications relevant to mechanical integrity.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector with a background in corrosion under insulation (CUI) inspection and management of change (MOC) processes.
- Practical familiarity with cathodic protection system monitoring and pipeline risk assessments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/MEng minimum).
- At least 8 years of senior mechanical engineering experience within the oil and gas industry; candidates with 5 years in related engineering fields will also be considered.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Willingness to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday at Wytch Farm.
