We are currently recruiting for PMC Senior Project Engineer role to support our ADNOC Onshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role

The Senior Project Engineer acts as the PMC's technical and project execution focal point, supporting ADNOC in the planning, coordination, and delivery of onshore oil & gas projects. The role ensures that engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with ADNOC standards

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management & Coordination
  • Support ADNOC Project Manager in overall project execution and delivery.
  • Coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Civil).
  • Interface with EPC contractors, licensors, vendors, and ADNOC stakeholders.
  • Monitor project schedule, cost, risks, and deliverables.

Engineering Oversight
  • Review and approve EPC contractor engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC specifications, international codes, and project standards.
  • Manage technical queries (TQs), deviations, and change requests.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and value engineering workshops.

Procurement & Construction Support
  • Support procurement activities including bid evaluations and vendor technical clarifications.
  • Oversee construction activities at site and ensure constructability.
  • Resolve site engineering issues and support construction teams.
  • Review method statements, ITPs, and work packs.

HSE & Quality
  • Ensure all activities comply with ADNOC HSE policies and safe working practices.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and participate in safety reviews and audits.
  • Ensure quality requirements are implemented and non-conformances are addressed.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare project progress reports, technical summaries, and presentations.
  • Participate in progress meetings with ADNOC and EPC contractors.
  • Support decision-making through technical and commercial assessments.


QUALIFICATIONS

Expected

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).

Experience
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in oil & gas projects.
  • Minimum 5-7 years in a PMC or Client representative role.
  • Strong experience on onshore ADNOC projects (preferred).
  • Experience across FEED, EPC, and construction phases.

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of onshore oil & gas facilities (CPF, gas processing, pipelines, utilities).
  • Familiarity with ADNOC standards, DEP, API, ASME, IEC, and ISO codes.
  • Knowledge of project controls, risk management, and change management.

Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple interfaces and priorities
  • Proactive problem solving mindset
