We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Module Design Engineer to join our team in the military turbomachinery field. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of turbine modules and their layout. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Working as part of an integrated global team, in this role you will contribute to the mechanical design of advanced systems and their technology maturation vehicles, with the aim of supporting product evolution and preliminary design activities for future programs.
The job position refers to Advanced Technology Operations with a specific focus on advanced technology engine demonstrators.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Design and develop turbine exhaust modules and their layout definition.
- Support components and systems design activities for tests vehicles and new technologies introduction
- Develop new mechanical concepts to power new engine architectures
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications and documentation.
- Perform engineering analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet performance, safety and quality standards.
- Lead with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality and testing, to ensure successful project execution.
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to the extended team
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering, Aerospace or Mechanical preferred
- Strong experience in mechanical design of complex products (preferred turbomachinery or aeroderivative)
- Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations, mechanical stack-ups
- Good knowledge of Advanced CAD Systems, 2D and 3D modelling techniques
- Good knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
- Eligible to be security-cleared under Italian National Security Framework - NOS (art. 9, comma 4 Legge 3 Agosto 2007, n. 124; art 37 DPCM 6 Novembre 2015 n.5)
- Availability of working in classified areas and military programs if requested
- English and Italian language fluent knowledge, both written and oral
- Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
