Our Company is recruiting for a dynamic individual to accept the role of a Field Engineer - Directional Drilling (DD) to join our Product and Service Delivery team that operates out of our San Fernando, Trinidad office. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable drilling operations while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in directional drilling across diverse environments and demonstrate strong technical and leadership capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Execute service delivery to customers and maintain operational integrity.
  • Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
  • Assist Design/Technical Engineers with implementing technical programs and bids.
  • Develop customer relationships to promote company products and services.
  • Ensure compliance through CAT assessments, self-audits, and wellsite inspections.
  • Lead Service Quality Meetings with customers and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety standards and PPE requirements.
  • Provide backup support to Job Delivery Leads and PSD Managers when required.


Special Requirements:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in directional drilling, including deepwater, ultradeep offshore, and unconventional operations. International experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to lead teams of 5-15 personnel in high-pressure operational environments.
  • Proven expertise in horizontal wells execution, real-time geo-navigation, and complex well profiles.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling technologies, including Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS), PowerDrive, Xceed, and mud motors.
  • Experience in high-risk environments such as geo-steering within reservoirs under tight tolerances, optimizing well trajectories to maximize reservoir contact while avoiding collision with active producing wells.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
  • Certifications in Directional Drilling and Drilling Operations (preferred not mandatory).
  • FOET/BOSIET and full compliance with internal safety training standards.
