About this vacancy

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you work on complex engineering challenges within the high-tech, mechanical engineering, and aerospace sectors. In this role, you are responsible for specifying, designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical modules and components in accordance with strict technical requirements and industry standards. You collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team, substantiating your design choices with calculations, material selections, and simulations to ensure functionality, reliability, and manufacturability. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing and developing mechanical systems, modules, and components in SolidWorks; - Implementing technical changes and improving existing designs; - Collaborating intensively with production, R&D, and quality control to ensure all designs meet high quality and safety standards; - Solving technical challenges during the development and production process; - Carefully documenting designs in accordance with internal guidelines and industry standards.

What we expect from you

• A completed technical education at Bachelor or Master level in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in machine construction, high-tech, shipbuilding, or aerospace;
• Strong experience with SolidWorks or a comparable program;
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude;
• Good communication skills in Dutch and currently residing in the Netherlands.
