The emergency power system commissioning engineer is responsible for commissioning and testing emergency power systems, including engines, generators, switchgear and fuel systems. You ensure that all these systems are installed correctly and function in accordance with technical specifications, safety standards and project requirements. You work closely with project, development and installation teams, check compliance with regulations and carry out detailed performance tests before the system is handed over to the client.
- You will be the point of contact for clients with technical questions about installation and will support the work involved in preparing, carrying out and reporting on FAT and SAT.
- You will perform structured tests on generators. And you will check every system for correctness and safety to ensure that everything works as planned.
- During the test, you will analyse technical problems and develop targeted solutions that are always based on a logical and objective approach.
- You will work with our proprietary generator control system, which you will use to regulate the automatic switchover between the main power supply and emergency power to ensure that multiple generators are synchronised smoothly.
- Our system enables you to diagnose faults quickly thanks to detailed data recording, thereby ensuring the reliable operation of emergency power systems.
- You ensure that all emergency power systems comply with standards and specific project requirements. You work conscientiously to ensure that everything is correct down to the smallest detail.
- Commission urea systems fully.
- You carefully record all test results and processes in reports and ensure clear documentation that complies with project requirements and relevant standards.
- We are looking for a candidate with a strong electrical background, skilled in reading schematics, troubleshooting faults, and possessing solid component knowledge and proven experience in making electrical connections.
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a commissioning engineer or service/maintenance technician (so you already have some experience!) and you enjoy working on challenging technical installations.
- Knowledge of and experience with gencontrol systems such as DEIF, ComAp, or Deep Sea is strongly preferred (experience with at least one system is required).
- You are flexible and willing to spend the majority of your time (±70%) working abroad.
- You live within a maximum travel time of 1.5 hours from Frankfurt or Hanau.
- You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of and experience with diesel technology is a plus.
