Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrument Planner to support onshore operations by minimizing maintenance costs and improving equipment availability. The role focuses on effective planning of maintenance activities by identifying and coordinating the required manpower, materials, tools, and procedures to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing job packs, ensuring material availability, and supporting Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) management systems.

Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrument Planner to support onshore operations by minimizing maintenance costs and improving equipment availability. The role focuses on effective planning of maintenance activities by identifying and coordinating the required manpower, materials, tools, and procedures to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing job packs, ensuring material availability, and supporting Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and plan new Electrical and Instrumentation work orders in the maintenance system.
- Scope and plan weekly maintenance activities in coordination with craft supervisors.
- Identify manpower requirements, coordinate with craft teams, and list material needs in line with the scope of work.
- Prepare and print job packs for scheduled work.
- Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for non-stock materials and liaise with the warehouse and supply chain to ensure timely material availability.
- Ensure all required materials are issued to the craft team prior to job execution.
- Raise new material requests and follow up on procurement of stock and non-stock items.
- Manage the return of used or surplus materials, including refurbishment and recovery back into stock.
- Contribute to 7-day, 28-day, and 90-day maintenance plans and support correct sequencing with the scheduling team.
- Work closely with supervisors, technicians, planners, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure integrated planning across onshore operations.
- Liaise with external vendors as required.
- Ensure all activities comply with company HSEQ policies and procedures.
Education:
- Secondary education, plus a Diploma or apprenticeship in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics
(equivalent to UK City & Guilds / NVQ / ONC)
- Prior experience as an Electrical or Instrument Technician (multi-disciplinary experience preferred)
- Specific experience in a maintenance planning role
- Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry is essential
- Strong written and spoken English
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with planning tools such as Primavera
- Experience using CMMS systems such as Oracle, Maximo, or SAP
- Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid UAE Driving License or ability to obtain
