Job Description Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the activities of gears manufacturing processes. She/He will take full responsibility of the assigned hardware, developing the manufacturing plan and/or optimizing the existing one to achieve the required targets in terms of process feasibility and robustness, product quality, product cost and capacity sustainment. She/He will also analyze quality KPI for the improvement plan of the assigned P/N.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Support concurrent engineering activities with the design engineers and/or with the customer
• Define tooling/router design effort between external suppliers and Avio Aero Manufacturing Engineer
• Drive suppliers of tooling during all steps from the concept to the functional test and related validation
• Manage design and process reviews, to monitor the status of industrialization/ improvement plan for the assigned P/N.
• Support operating personnel during the production of the first batch
• Manage the technical validation according with internal procedures
• Identify processes optimization to be implemented
• Support Customer Quality Engineering for the anomaly report submitted to Customer and sustain Customer review of the proposed improvement plan
• Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
• Develop and consolidate best practices and standards for gears manufacturing

Qualifications/Requirements

• Master Degree in Mechanical is a plus or Industrial Technical Diploma with experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Basics of gears manufacturing and of NDT
• Basics of metrology principles applied to geometrical tolerances
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
• Ability to manage activities simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills
• Previous experience of work in a matrix organization
• Italian and English fluent
• Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required.
