Bring your energy to Aggreko as an electrical engineering apprentice in Doncaster. You'll gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled electrical engineers. Maintain, service, and repair. All our electrical equipment from- electrical distribution systems from panel boards, switchboards, to cable management, primarily within low voltage ranges. All the time developing essential electrical and safety skills.

Your day as an apprentice:

As an Aggreko apprentice, no two days are the same. Each day begins with a team briefing focused on safety and priorities. You'll then work closely with a senior engineer on a wide range of tasks on site - from equipment testing and preparation to electrical servicing and fault diagnosis. Throughout, you'll build practical skills with hands-on support and guidance, always working safely to keep everyone safe.

What you'll learn and do

• Assist cable team with cable colour identification and hand tool usage / Learn and apply product-specific codes for electrical items

• Work on low voltage electrical distribution including distribution boards, panels, switchboards, and cable management, understanding input/output and progressing towards electrical testing of equipment and systems.

• Develop your knowledge and confidence using a range of hand tools

• Work safely to keep everyone safe

• Collaborate with teams to deliver excellent service and contribute to key projects

• Use IT tools like laptops and mobile devices to support your work

• Balance practical work experience with college study towards a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician qualification

• End qualification: Level 3, Engineering Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

• Duration: 4 years

• Starting salary: £18,720

What you need to apply

• Five GCSEs (or predicted) at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths

• A positive and reliable attitude

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Be a problem-solver, always willing to take on a challenge

• You'll need to be at least 17 years old by August 2026 to meet safety requirements
