A Design Engineer for Progressing Cavity Pumps (PCP) is responsible for end-to-end development of mechanical components and systems, spanning conceptual design, CAD modeling, prototyping, and manufacturing support. They manage project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with safety standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD, Windchill PLM).
• Project Management: Define project scope, timelines; monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Prototyping & Testing: Develop, test, and validate prototypes, performing root cause analysis for failures.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and clients to optimize designs for production.
• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including assembly instructions, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and compliance reports.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in design and project management.
• Should have experience in any of three software (SolidWorks, Windchill, inventor), Creo is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and FEA/CFD simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
