Job Description

Are you a mechanically minded problem-solver looking to kick-start your engineering career in the automotive industry? We're seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team and support the installation and optimisation of production line equipment, including conveyor systems and chassis transportation solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of production line machinery
• Support the design, integration, and optimisation of conveyor systems
• Contribute to technical drawings, documentation, and engineering reports
• Provide on-site support during commissioning and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, and Suppliers

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, automation, or manufacturing processes
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings (CAD experience is a plus!)
• A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Additional Information

Location & Working Pattern

• Full-time, based onsite at Ellesmere Port
• 40 hour week standard shift pattern Monday - Friday
