Job Title: Senior Metering Engineer

Location: Onshore, Ras Laffan / Doha HQ
Employment Type: Two-year initial contract with potential extension
Work Schedule: 8–10 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday

• Single status: 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off

• Couple status: 30 days annual leave
  Visa Requirements: Candidates must be eligible for work visa (RP)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Metering Engineer to provide technical leadership for metering engineering activities within onshore projects. This role involves developing and implementing metering plans, ensuring accuracy and integrity of metering systems, and supporting safe, reliable, and seamless project start-ups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive metering engineering plans, specifications, and standards aligned with project requirements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate metering systems into facility designs

• Coordinate installation, calibration, and testing of metering devices to ensure accuracy and reliability

• Conduct audits and inspections of metering systems to identify improvements and ensure compliance with regulations and contractual requirements

• Provide technical expertise to assess metering equipment integrity and maintain quality standards

• Prepare technical specifications for metering contracts, contribute to tender evaluations, and support budget preparation and audits

• Interface with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, vendors, and suppliers to ensure compliance and reliability of metering equipment

• Conduct risk assessments emphasizing safety, reliability, and environmental considerations for project readiness

• Recommend and implement innovative metering methodologies and technologies to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering

• Minimum six years’ experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, process plant, or power plant environments, including at least four years in flow measurement and metering

• Competent in engineering software for flow measurement and metering

• Knowledge of ISO standards on flow measurement

• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software; experience with Meridium or similar data management systems preferred
