JOB DESCRIPTION

Your Team

Within the Engineering Division of Technip Energies Paris office, you will be part of the Operations & Installation section of the Electrical Department.

With 60 years of experience in energy project design, the division is composed of 600 people representing all disciplines present on our installations (more than 20).

Your Playground

As part of a multicultural task force attached to your discipline, you will contribute to the engineering and design of projects executed by TEN France for the groups various Business Lines: decarbonized solutions (CO₂ capture, hydrogen, wind power), LNG, or biofuels. Most of these projects are for export markets, and you will interact with other disciplines within TEN (project management, procurement, construction) as well as our mainly international partners (clients, vendors, value engineering partners, etc.).

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of the Electrical Department, you will be responsible for the design and sizing of electrical installations for onshore and offshore plants within international projects covering our key product lines: LNG, CO₂ capture, hydrogen, sustainable fuels, etc.

As a Electrical Lead Discipline Engineer, you will lead and coordinate a multicultural team of electrical engineers and designers, acting as the key point of contact for the Project Team, the Client, and the Department Manager.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and supervising the Electrical team dedicated to the Project.
  • Ensuring the integration of contractual requirements and compliance with work and quality procedures.
  • Designing power generation and distribution networks for the Project.
  • Proposing and guiding technical solutions to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Supervising and validating technical specifications and requisitions for electrical equipment.
  • Overseeing detailed engineering: design of electrical rooms, cable routing and trays, etc.
  • Reviewing and/or approving documents issued by the team and subcontractors.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces: Process, HSE Design, Equipment, Piping-Installation, Civil Engineering, Structural, Procurement, Construction Contracts, Inspection, and Construction.
  • Maintaining active communication with external stakeholders (clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors).
  • Providing regular reporting to the department and the project management team.
  • Monitoring progress and man-hour budgets.
  • Identifying, anticipating, and managing risks and changes.
  • Ensuring proper quantity control and follow-up.

Role Highlights
  • Participation in large-scale electrical projects, involving several hundred MW and/or thousands of electrical consumers.
  • Opportunities to take part in site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.

Your Profile

You hold an engineering degree from a leading generalist or specialized electrical engineering school, with at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or design offices, and you demonstrate strong managerial abilities.

Significant experience in power generation plants, high-power variable speed drives, or field engineering would be an advantage.

You have excellent interpersonal skills and are rigorous, adaptable, methodical, and proactive. Comfortable in multicultural environments, you know how to unite, make decisions, and provide technical leadership to your teams.

You are fluent in English and available for travel within France and internationally.
