Overview

The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting electrical installations in transportation and infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and coordination with engineers and contractors.

Your role

• Develop and implement SHE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Inspect electrical works including lighting, cabling, and power systems in transportation and construction projects.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
• Monitor adherence to safety regulations and electrical codes.
• Review and validate contractor work, materials, and equipment used.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and documentation for project records.
• Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure timely completion of electrical works in line with project schedules.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical inspection within transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
• Effective time management to handle multiple inspections and deadlines.
