EngineeringPetrofac is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.
Scope of Services:
Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:
• Deliver the project in line with the EPS BMS (Business Management System) and in accordance with relevant project procedures
• Promote awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental, Integrity & Quality aspects of discipline of work to achieve fit-for-purpose engineering
• To ensure that the project generated planning documentation reflects a fit-for-purpose design and complies with the contract requirements
• Be the focal point for all E, I and operational commissioning activities
• Supervise preparation of deliverable materials required to meet project specifications across multidisciplines
• Participate in design of facility as requested
• Prepare detailed commissioning related plans and schedules for the project
• Liaise with Operations and Suppliers to ensure correct schedules for each supply or programme
• Work with the Duty Holder certification process and ensure that all commissioning documentation from all parties is compliant with the pre-requisites
• Monitor progress of work on the project and report any issues
• Assurance of the E,I and operational commissioning processes to the project
• Act as co-ordinator between Client, operator and contractors on all aspects of commissioning
• Present completed sections of plant & equipment to the Operator for approval/acceptance
• Co-ordinate functional testing of instrument, control & safety systems
• Investigate technical problems
• After plant start-up organise test-runs
• Co-ordinate any trouble-shooting activities as needed
• Offshore multidiscipline commissioning

Services should be provided to produce the following deliverables where required as part of project specific works, specific clients and durations will be called off as part of the purchase order.
Key deliverables to include:
• Commissioning Philosophy & Strategy Documentation
• Commissioning Inspection & Test Procedures
• Start-up Procedures
• SIF Proof Test Procedures (IEC 61511 & IEC 61508)
• Inspection & Test Plans
• Limit of System Handover Drawings
• Redline drawings
