Position Title: Sr. HSE Engineer

Location: Doha, Qatar – Office-Based

Contract: Until 31/12/2030
Work Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off, 8 hours per day

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an internationally recognized university

• Certifications/diplomas in OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in HSE management functions, including construction safety for major infrastructure and/or oil & gas projects

• Last 5 years in a senior HSE role

• Experience developing and implementing HSE targets, KPIs, statistics, and performance monitoring

• Familiarity with ISO and OSHA standards and international codes

• Experience supervising project HSE personnel

• Skilled in HSE studies, environmental assessments, and project HSE risk registers

• Experienced in auditing, inspections, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action close-out

• Experience delivering safety training and awareness courses to staff and contractors

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage departmental HSE systems, objectives, KPIs, procedures, guidelines, standards, and policies

• Review project Scope of Work and define HSE requirements early in project lifecycle

• Participate in technical bid evaluations and provide HSE input

• Review project HSE documentation and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance

• Guide implementation of HSE legal requirements, national laws, and international conventions within projects

• Support QHSE certification activities including risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting

• Provide guidance and support to project HSE teams for corporate and directorate HSE compliance

• Establish departmental annual HSE objectives, performance targets, and maintain lessons learned registers

• Develop and maintain consolidated records of root cause analyses and project HSE risk registers

• Participate in HSE studies for projects and provide inputs

• Promote HSE awareness and training among staff and contractors

• Formalize contractor HSE organizations, review CVs, conduct competency assessments, and ensure compliance with corporate HSE standards

• Coordinate with project HSE teams for effective implementation of HSE requirements at project sites
