Dredge Electrician for Dredger

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all electrical systems on dredging vessels.
• Inspect, test, and ensure proper functioning of motors, generators, and switchboards.
• Handle installation and maintenance of lighting, navigation, and communication systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain electrical safety equipment as per maritime standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime of dredge machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, spare parts, and consumables.
• Collaborate with other engineering team members for smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with STCW, flag state, and company safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies during dredging operations.

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical

STCW training certification.
