We are recruiting an experienced Production Start-Up Engineer to support the safe and efficient commissioning and start-up of LNG Train 1 on a major LNG development. This is a hands-on operational role requiring deep technical knowledge of LNG processes, utilities and associated systems, with a strong focus on safety, performance and reliability.
Role Purpose
You will support the transition from construction and commissioning into live operations, ensuring LNG Train 1 achieves stable, safe and optimised production. Working closely with commissioning teams and operations personnel, you will provide technical oversight during gas-in, cool-down, ramp-up and performance testing phases.

We are recruiting an experienced Production Start-Up Engineer to support the safe and efficient commissioning and start-up of LNG Train 1 on a major LNG development. This is a hands-on operational role requiring deep technical knowledge of LNG processes, utilities and associated systems, with a strong focus on safety, performance and reliability.
Role Purpose
You will support the transition from construction and commissioning into live operations, ensuring LNG Train 1 achieves stable, safe and optimised production. Working closely with commissioning teams and operations personnel, you will provide technical oversight during gas-in, cool-down, ramp-up and performance testing phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and validation of start-up procedures and operating manuals
- Participate in system walkdowns, punch list close-out and readiness reviews
- Assist in execution of critical commissioning activities and cause & effect testing
- Support LNG tank cool-down, loading systems and utilities integration
- Provide technical input during gas-in and initial production ramp-up
- Monitor plant performance and propose operational improvements
- Troubleshoot process issues and support resolution of technical constraints
- Contribute to performance tests and review of final technical reports
- Assist operations during early production and stabilisation phases
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE standards
- Adhere to Permit to Work systems and operational procedures
- Identify hazards, assess risks and promote continuous improvement
- Support environmental management and regulatory compliance
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in LNG production, commissioning or start-up
- Strong knowledge of LNG processes, utilities and PTW systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
