Develop, manage and implement the panel operators training program. Support the overall Operator Competency and Qualification program. To be the custodian of the Operator Training Simulator (OTS) to ensure that it is properly maintained and available to support panel operators training and competencies delivery. Validate Operating procedures which would include start-up, normal shutdown, cooldown and emergency shutdown of the LNG Plant. Interface with process engineering & DCS engineers to develop and test future process and control opportunities such as Advanced Process Control, MCHE auto-cool, etc.

Responsibilities:
General training:

• Assist with development of general Operations training policies, plans and programs, including by ensuring compliance with National regulatory requirements.
• Support the Panel Operator and Field Operator Competency and Qualification programs.
• Participate to Toolbox talks and carry out Topic Training presentations.

OTS specific:

• Ensure that MzLNG experienced Panel Operators are qualified to operate the LNG plant facilities, of their respective areas.
• Ensure development of National trainees, until they have reached full qualification required as Panel Operators of their respective areas.
• Assess the operating procedures, and propose revisions if required, until full validation.
• Witness the MAT, FAT, SAT and attend vendor’s training session related to the OTS.
• Develop and implement the panel operators training program (shall include OTS Training exercises for ‘Start-up, Shut down, Troubleshooting & Emergencies’ for the various equipment, Units: Utilities, Upstream, Inlet facilities, MEG, LNG Trains and Storage & Loading facilities).
• Develop and implement training methods and establishes standards, techniques and goals for trainees assigned to a program.
• Develop and coordinate the dissemination of training information and materials.
• Be informed of the latest developments and techniques in the training and development field, and propose improvement of the training programs, as required.
• Complete training records and reports.
• Lead competency and panel operator qualification assessments.
• Ensure that the OTS is always updated in line with the latest ICSS software version.
• Keep updated the Operator Training Manual.
• Request / facilitate Vendor support as required and in line with approved OPEX budgets.
• Ensure that routine system maintenance is conducted in accordance with the OTS Operations and Maintenance manual requirements:

• Virus scanning.
• System and server health checks.
• System updates and patches.
• License updates.

Qualifications & Background:
Qualifications:

• Bachelor of higher education in Applied Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with international standard and solid experience

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years specific production experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
• Minimum 5 years in LNG production plants as Panel Operator (not LNG terminals)
• Previous experience on the use in Operator Training Simulator
