Trainee Programs

Perspective

The two-year trainee program combines broad, cross-departmental training with the opportunity to gain in-depth know-how and practical experience in the areas of sales and project engineering.
It is divided into three phases
  • Overview (approx. 4 weeks): Introduction to the goals, organization, processes, and interrelationships of the individual departments
  • Cross-departmental onboarding (approx. 12 months): You will get to know various departments through assignments lasting several days or weeks and take on your first tasks and projects
  • Focus area "Project Engineering": You will deepen your knowledge in project engineering and sales and assume responsibility for your own projects. A multi-week assignment at one of the AKG Group's international subsidiaries is also planned.Your tasks at AKG

Responsibilities in the focus area
  • Supporting and advising existing customers as well as acquiring new customers
  • Technical product development and product customization according to customer requirements
  • Complete project management from quotation preparation to series production, including:
    • Technical calculations and design of heat exchangers
    • Commercial calculations and optimization of customer-specific solutions
    • Preparation of quotations
    • Internal order coordination and acting as a point of contact for customers and suppliers

What we require from you
  • A university degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • Practical experience through vocational training or internships, as well as international experience, is an advantage
  • Strong comprehension skills, assertiveness, goal orientation, flexibility, and negotiation skills
  • A solution-oriented, structured, and committed way of working, as well as confident communication in both German and English
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
