Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power supply systems and a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish technical input for Package Strategies
• Compile Technical Requisitions & Specifications for Inquiry and Purchase Orders
• Execute technical Pre-Order Activities
• Plan, execute, and coordinate technical Follow Up Activities
• Perform necessary follow-up and coordination of technical procurement activities
• Execute and coordinate Supplier Documents and Drawings approval
• Work closely with the customer's technical specialists
• Review and quality assure supplier documentation
• Update and provide input to the engineering database
• Participate in performance tests and inspections at supplier's premises
• Support site work and respond to technical queries
• Execute and coordinate technical Change Control
• Execute technical Close Out Activities and Supplier Performance Evaluations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Extensive knowledge of power supply systems, especially 690V and 11kV switchboards
• Experience with heat trace systems (Computrace)
• Good knowledge of offshore EIT installations and requirements
• Strong experience in supplier coordination and follow-up
• Proficiency in as-builts of tags and drawings
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Associate Degree, Vocational school, BSc, or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field
• FSE Certificate and EX course
• Basic safety course including HUET
• Fluency in English and Norwegian

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in industry-specific software (TIME, MIPS, STID, PROCOSYS, Thermon CompuTrace)
• Strong knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations, and standards
• Ability to execute tasks, take responsibility, and make decisions
• Proactive approach to work and excellent problem-solving skills
