NES Fircroft on behalf of a global offshore energy and ocean-infrastructure company are hiring a highly skilled Principal Piping Material Engineer to join our client’s team, where your expertise will drive operational excellence, elevate safety standards, and support sustainable project delivery within the Oil & Gas industry.

This is a hands-on, influential role demanding technical mastery, leadership, and collaboration across global engineering centres.

What You’ll Do:
As Principal Piping Material Engineer, you will leverage your extensive technical knowledge to independently develop safe, innovative, and high-quality piping solutions that meet complex project demands. You’ll tackle challenging technical issues, ensuring project and discipline milestones are met with precision. You will collaborate closely with Discipline Managers, Leads, and engineering teams to enhance quality and efficiency continuously. Sharing your expertise through mentoring and consultation, you will nurture the growth of less experienced engineers and champion best practices across regions. With an eye on innovation and continuous learning, you will keep abreast of industry advancements and embed valuable lessons from projects and fleet operations into future applications.

Required Skills:
  • Expert proficiency in Piping Materials Engineering, including design and calculation tools
  • Strong background in detailed design, systems engineering, and package engineering for manufacturing
  • Proven ability in reliability, operability, and safety analysis related to piping materials
  • Hands-on experience in site engineering, planning, and analysis
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex technical solutions independently
  • Effective leadership and mentoring capabilities, fostering knowledge transfer and team development
  • Strong communication skills to engage with peers and stakeholders across multiple regions
  • Proven EPC project experience is essential

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Engineer Diploma or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Substantial experience within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC environments
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel as required to support global projects and cross-regional collaboration
