Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with strong expertise in structural works for the oil and gas sector. The role involves supervising on-site construction and installation activities, ensuring compliance with approved standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. The successful candidate will coordinate contractors, review project documentation, and support commissioning and handover activities.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise site construction/installation for assigned engineering disciplines, ensuring safe execution and compliance with Scope of Work, engineering standards, and specifications

Participate in constructability reviews as required

Review contractors’ construction plans, schedules, method statements, and job safety analyses (JSAs)

Coordinate and control contractor mobilisation, including site laydown areas

Facilitate issuance of permits and gate passes for contractors

Inspect and test completed project work; arrange recommissioning inspections and tests

Initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates and follow up on punch list items

Review and endorse red-marked and “as-built” drawings

Participate in handover and acceptance, including commissioning procedures and facility commissioning

Review and endorse construction dossiers for assigned projects

Ensure timely execution of construction and installation scope in line with project specifications and standards

Direct and supervise contractor construction teams to ensure adherence to permit-to-work (PTW) conditions

Review and endorse site work progress reports submitted by contractors
Requirements

Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline from a recognised university

Extensive commissioning experience in oil and gas projects

8–10 years’ experience in construction and installation activities within the oil and gas sector

Strong knowledge of construction management best practices, systems, processes, and industry standards

Effective communication and conflict resolution skills

Ability to work independently and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on site
