The Role

Do you dream of using your civil engineering skills to accelerate the renewable energy transition?

The Civil Engineer will join our Global Engineering and Technical Support (GETS) function, reporting to the GETS team and working closely with engineers across the project lifecycle. As part of the GETS team, the Civil Engineer will support early stage development activities, including civil feasibility assessments, topographical and geotechnical reviews, and preliminary civil layouts for renewables projects. They will contribute to conceptual engineering, support the development of RFQ documentation, and provide civil design input for Italian opportunities within our growing Engineering function.

In collaboration with the wider Engineering & Construction (E&C) and Asset Management (AM) teams, the Civil Engineer will participate in technical reviews, assess EPC documentation and support site activities during construction. Acting as a key civil reference for Solar PV and BESS design, they will help ensure that projects meet technical requirements, align with Italian regulations and adhere to GETS standards. Through strong technical judgement and effective coordination, the Civil Engineer will help drive high quality engineering outcomes across our Italian and international portfolio.

Desirable skills

• Proven expertise in civil engineering for renewables projects, with strong knowledge of Italian codes and standards

• Strong technical background in PV and BESS design, including familiarity with PV equipment and the ability to review technical documentation

• Hands-on experience with design tools such as AutoCAD and PVCase, combined with a solid understanding of plants construction practices across multiple disciplineson experience with design tools such as AutoCAD

• Demonstrated ability to work across functions and cultures, showing attention to detail, problem solving skills, independent working style, and flexibility to support projects across Italy and internationally

• Strong technical communication skills in Italian and English

• Experience using or developing digital tools or workflows to improve efficiency, innovation and productivity
