Overview
We are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of enterprise and industrial communication systems within a large-scale operational environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of telephony and related telecommunications infrastructure, providing first-line technical support and hands-on field expertise across a wide range of systems.
Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of telecommunication systems to ensure 24/7 service availability

Provide first-line technical support, fault diagnosis, and timely resolution of operational issues

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with technical procedures and operational requirements

Install, configure, test, and commission telecommunications infrastructure and associated equipment

Maintain structured copper and fibre cabling systems, including installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting

Monitor system performance and apply technical solutions to maintain reliable and fault-free operations

Use specialised test equipment and diagnostic tools to verify system performance and resolve faults

Support the operation of telecommunication applications and services across multiple operational sites
Technical Requirements

Hands-on experience with telephony systems, transmission technologies (SDH/PDH, DWDM), radio systems (UHF/VHF), and passive infrastructure (copper and fibre)

Knowledge of industrial communication systems including PAGA, CCTV, AV systems, access control, and SCADA

Understanding of TCP/IP networking and IP-based communication environments

Familiarity with industrial-grade telecommunications systems, including radio, satellite, and mission-critical communication platforms

Experience with telecom infrastructure hardware installation, configuration, and commissioning

Ability to apply technical procedures for incident resolution and system optimisation
Qualifications and Experience

Technical Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant telecommunications experience, preferably within oil & gas, energy, or industrial environments

Relevant technical training or certifications in areas such as radio systems, transmission systems, PAGA, CCTV, or structured cabling are advantageous
