EngineeringCommissioning Manager
An experienced Commissioning Manager is required to lead the Home Office delivery phase of a major EPC oil & gas project.
This role reports directly to the Project Manager and requires extensive Home Office experience.
Duration / Rate
• Immediate start
• 12–18 months contract
• Based in Surrey office (minimum 4 days per week onsite)
• 40 hours/week
• £75/hour via Limited Company
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of Commissioning and Operations deliverables, ensuring
commissioning and operations objectives are fully integrated into the design.
• Manage a small Home Office Commissioning & Operations team.
• Develop high-quality commissioning and operations documentation, including:
o Plans and procedures
o PC&C task registers
o Checklists and test sheets
o CMS setup and related deliverables
• Participate in engineering reviews, HAZOPs, and design reviews (Model, P&ID,
plot plan, etc.) as required.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to ensure
deliverables meet technical and schedule requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, monitor budgets, and ensure deliverables
are developed according to the FEED schedule.
• Business travel is not expected.
Education & Experience
• BSc / B.Eng. in Engineering or HNC in relevant subjects
• 15–20 years of experience in oil & gas projects
• Strong technical writing skills with experience producing high-quality
deliverables
• Self-motivated with excellent planning, leadership, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Total Energies OPERCOM methodology and iCAPs Completions
is an advantage
Project Overview
The role supports the development of a large-scale upstream oil and gas facility,
including a central processing facility (CPF) designed for peak production of ~220
kbopd. The facility includes water treatment for Produced Water Re-Injection (PWRI)
and gas compression systems to support export of associated gas.
The project integrates oil, gas, and condensate production systems, with onshore
facilities designed to meet high availability and operational standards.
