Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Dry Utilities Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of authority guidelines, standards, and requirements in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and KSA. This role requires expertise in dry utilities and infrastructure projects, from the Concept Masterplan stage to the IFC stage, as well as a solid background in infrastructure engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and managing electrical and dry utility systems while ensuring compliance with local authority standards

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Dry Utilities Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of authority guidelines, standards, and requirements in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and KSA. This role requires expertise in dry utilities and infrastructure projects, from the Concept Masterplan stage to the IFC stage, as well as a solid background in infrastructure engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and managing electrical and dry utility systems while ensuring compliance with local authority standards
Technical Expertise
- Authority Guidelines: Strong understanding of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and KSA authority guidelines, standards, and requirements.
- Infrastructure Design: Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure project requirements from Concept Masterplan to IFC stage.
- Electrical Systems: Expertise in primary substations, EHV, HV & LV corridors, distribution substations, pocket substations, feeder pillars, and service turrets.
- Telecommunication Infrastructure: Design telecommunication networks, including ducts, manholes, and GSM tower coverage requirements.
- Street Lighting Design: Design street lighting for all road types, ROW, lighting calculations, SLDs, load schedules, and landscape lighting branch wiring.
- Master Planning: Develop utility corridor space proofing, ROW, utilities requirements, and master plan calculations and reports.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including wet utilities, roads, transportation, landscape, and building teams.
- Coordinate with local authorities across the Middle East to ensure compliance and approvals.
- Prepare NOC submissions and address contractor RFIs, technical submittals, and clarifications related to electrical works and dry utilities.
Digitalization & Innovation
- Work towards digitalization, innovation, and process improvements to manage workload and deliverables effectively.
- Utilize BIM and relevant software (Revit knowledge is an advantage).
Leadership & Communication
- Manage design and approval processes while interfacing with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Build and nurture relationships to create effective working environments.
- Work with geographically and culturally diverse teams.
Qualifications
- Experience: More than 3 years of experience in design-focused roles (construction supervision experience not preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- HV networks up to 33kV and LV networks, including calculations and report writing.
- Telecommunication infrastructure network design and GSM coverage requirements.
- Street lighting design, including ROW, SLDs, and load schedules.
- Proficiency in BIM and relevant design software (Revit knowledge is a plus).
- Authority Coordination: Proven experience coordinating with local authorities in the Middle East
- Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Energy/Renewable Energy and/or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Skills:
- Strong report writing and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and projects effectively.
- Leadership skills to foster collaboration and innovation.
