Wood is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Oman to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work.

Typical responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring that EPC contractor process deliverables are reviewed, commented and accepted.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all process activities are delivered on time with high quality of submissions.
  • Advice EPC contractor in regard to the project contractual requirements and expectations for delivering process engineering activities.
  • Participate in interviewing EPC contractor process team candidates and place recruitment recommendations.
  • Develop Weekly and Monthly process engineering reports and related presentations.
  • Attend Company and Contractors Weekly and Monthly meetings and update the process engineering activities tasks and challenges.
  • Review and approve all process engineering including vendors deliverables documentations.
  • Review and approve all laboratories engineering including vendors deliverables documentations.
  • Ensure that final process and laboratories engineering documentation and vendor documentations deliverables are in AFC code.
  • Participate and lead process engineering studies workshops for both EPC and Vendors scopes ensuring that all close out reports are approved.
  • Review and approve project PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, architectures, general arrangements, heat and material balances, equipment lists, line lists and tie-in schedules for the project entire facilities.
  • Review and approve all types of process simulations (steady state/dynamic) and hydraulic calculations (normal, startup, shutdown).
  • Review and approve all types of equipment's sizing reports as per applicable codes.
  • Review and approve process datasheets, control & safeguarding narratives, shutdown keys, cause & effect matrices, alarm rationalization, and operating envelopes.
  • Lead/participate in HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL determination, etc...and ensure that actions are closed and recommendations are implemented.
  • Review and approve flow assurance input studies including pipeline pigging activities.
  • Support commissioning and startup: SAT/loop checks, first fuel ramp-up plans, performance testing, etc...
  • Troubleshoot plant process and equipment's upsets.
  • Perform process optimization studies and review the same during plant initial operations.
  • Review and approve process and laboratories related MOCs and operating procedures.
  • Review and approve regulatory and standards compliance: design basis, emissions, produced water quality, fiscal metering inputs.
  • Review interface documents pertaining to C & A, Electrical, Telecom, Mechanical Rotating/Static, etc...

Experience:
  • Minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree in Process/Chemical Engineering.
  • Have an overall +15 experiences in process engineering with senior capacity roles.
  • Have knowledge and experience in pipelines and hydrocarbon tanks process and static engineering designs.
  • Possesses solid technical experience in process engineering activities and related interfaces for similar related projects.
  • Possess technical abilities to review project documentations and guide EPC contractors engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of operational and engineering best practices.
  • Possess good knowledge in C & A, rotating, static equipment's vendor packages engineering.
  • Computer knowledge in MS Office applications like MS Word, MS excel etc.
  • Possess great leadership and people management skills.
  • Possess analytical thinking.
  • Possess problem solving skills.
  • English Language strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Possess great presentation and Coaching Skills.
  • Have the ability to work in a diverse culture.
  • Have great mobility and flexibility to travel to work at project sites supporting the commissioning and start-up team.
