Job Description Summary
Executes service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Delivers quality customer service to satisfy customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectation(s).
- Displays clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in their own area of responsibility.
- Ensures customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
- Works with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.
- Utilizes the local practices to notify the account team about the opportunities.
- Performs field service tasks, identifies technical issues, and performs analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.
- Utilizes all relevant tools.
- Prepares material lists needed for service activity and ensures that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
- Plans and executes work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensures the job is done on time and as per quality standards.
- Identifies improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the ways of working.
- Troubleshoots equipment/process failures, requests proactive corrective actions, and makes recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.
- Prepares all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.

- Reports unsafe practices and incidents.
- Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities.
Collaboration / Leadership
- Takes actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.
- Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
- Coaches Associate Technicians and Associate Engineers and provides technical guidance to associates.
- Acts as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.
- Delivery high quality service in compliance with service procedures
- Identify and attend to system and user problems arising from customers within short notice Build up the strong relationship with customer; identify and establish relationships with potential customers, understand customer needs and transform/develop them into business opportunities
- Perform robotics system Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Perform Robot and PLC logic programming, testing and troubleshooting as well as robot-studio simulation. Having an analytical ability to communicate with R&D team of ABB to identify root cause of issues.
- Provide product training to customer. Collaborating with service sales to support customer on system and product enquiries. Perform sales of preventive or corrective maintenance contact and spare-parts to end-users,
Qualifications for the role
- Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering,
- with Minimum 5 year working experience in automation environment.
- Experience in "ROBOTICS" would be an added advantage. Understanding of fundamental engineering principles.
- Good command of English & strong communication. Experience in customer coordination will be preferred. Is a self-starter, can manage multiple tasks, multiple function and work effectively with minimal supervision.
