EngineeringThe role of the Project Quality Engineer is to translate Customer Quality requirements into CPS documents and disseminate to the CPS organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
The PQ Engineer is responsible for performing gate reviews and interfacing with the Project Manager, suppliers and fabrication sites on project quality requirements; responsible for supporting Supply Chain Management in the selection, approval and development of the suppliers.
1. Review the project quality requirements in the contract and associated technical documents provided by the Customer.
2. Develop and administer a checklist that includes requirements for review of proposals and transition to fabrication with cross functional sign off.
3. Perform audits of post completion documents for compliance.
4. Develop Project Quality Plans and all other quality related planning documents required by the customer, and obtain Customer and Third Party approval for the Project Quality Plan
5. Interface with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Operations to ensure coordination of Customer quality requirements for the project as a whole.
6. Communicate and monitor Customer quality expectations throughout the supply chain.
7. Interface with Project Manager to obtain written Customer approval on all deviations from design, functional and quality test requirements.
8. Maintain the imagining system repository for the project. Ensures all data records are approved, properly identified, scanned and cataloged.
9. Ensure all project quality deliverables on the project are produced and delivered in a timely manner.
10.Identify project quality resource requirements and assign sufficient resources to satisfy the quality requirements on the project.
11. Correspond with Customers, Suppliers, Supply Chain and Third Party Agencies (DNV, ABS, etc.) in accordance with project procedures, as needed.
12. Support Supply Chain Management in the supplier selection and approval process
13. Perform supplier audits on new and existing suppliers as needed. 14. Perform supplier developmental work when suppliers are identified as needing support in order to meet Cameron requirements.
15. Collect, analyze and monitor supplier performance metrics and work with suppliers to develop quality improvement plans.
16. Support Quality Manager to approve new suppliers to the Approved Vendor List
Qualification & experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering degrees are a plus.
Candidates with trades or technical field experience will also be considered
