We are seeking entry-level RF applications engineers to join our customer-facing technical team for Apple in Germany.\\n\\nThis small team of extraordinary engineers designs and produces precision RF test equipment for use in calibrating and testing cellular, WiFi, BT, mmWave, UWB and NFC radios in millions of iPhones, iPads, Macs, Vision, Watches and AirPods. All members of the team bring their own unique expertise to collectively take internal Apple products from concept to mass production. Each internal product is designed to Apple's exacting standards resulting in test equipment that maintains the quality, accuracy and function of commercially available offerings.\\n\\nAll applications must be in English.
We are looking for an entry-level RF Application Engineer with an understanding in RF and wireless signal processing, communication theory, RF test systems and object-oriented software development practices. \n\nThis role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills and excellent communication to ensure customer success and drive product adoption for the growing Instrument Engineering team at Apple.
Excellent understanding of RF fundamentals, DSP and communications theory\nStrong interpersonal skills\nExperience with RF measurements\nKnowledge of cellular 4G LTE and 5G NR RF parameters such as EVM and ACLR\nStrong experience in at least one of these languages: Python, C++ or Matlab\nExperience writing object oriented software\nBachelor's degree is needed, and we highly value Master's or above. Relevant disciplines include Electrical Engineering, Maths and Physics.
Industry experience or equivalent is preferred \nInternship experience in RF engineering, wireless communications or related fields\nAcademic research projects involving RF systems, signal processing or wireless communication\nLaboratory experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, vector signal generator, vector network analyzers)\nFamiliarity with RF test equipment vendors (Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, National Instruments, LitePoint, Anritsu)\nRecent experience with data analysis of RF parameters \nFamiliarity with wireless communication standards (LTE, 5G NR, WiFi, Bluetooth)
