EngineeringWe are seeking highly motivated and technically proficient Senior RF Applications Engineers to join our customer-facing technical team for Apple in Germany. \\n\\nThis small team of extraordinary engineers designs and produces precision RF test equipment for use in calibrating and testing cellular, WiFi, BT, mmWave, UWB and NFC radios in millions of iPhones, iPads, Macs, Vision, Watches and AirPods. All members of the team bring their own unique expertise to collectively take internal Apple products from concept to mass production. Each internal product is designed to Apple's exacting standards resulting in test equipment that maintains the quality, accuracy and function of commercially available offerings.\\n\\nAll applications must be in English.
The Senior RF Applications Engineer will require a deep understanding in RF and wireless signal processing, communication theory, RF test systems and strong object-oriented software development practices. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills and excellent communication to ensure customer success and drive product adoption for the growing Instrument Engineering team at Apple.
Extensive and demonstrable industry experience, as well as a deep understanding of RF fundamentals, DSP and communications theory\nStrong experience with RF measurements for cellular technologies such as 4G and 5G\nRecent experience with cellular (4G/5G) signal analysis including EVM, ACLR, SEM, IQ mismatch\nStrong experience in at least one of these languages: Python, C++ or Matlab\nExperience developing scalable software in Python, C++ or Matlab\nStrong experience writing object oriented software\nProven ability to independently debug complex RF system issues\nExperience automating RF test equipment from vendors such as Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, National Instruments, LitePoint, or Anritsu.\nBachelor's degree is needed, and we highly value Master's or above. Relevant disciplines include Electrical Engineering, Maths and Physics.
Recent experience with data analysis of RF parameters \nRecent experience using both non-signaling and signaling cellular test equipment \nRecent work experience in applications engineering or pre/post-sales engineering and experience working closely with customers
