The Field Engineer III - Artificial Lift Systems is a senior-level role responsible for leading the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of artificial lift and automation systems. The position requires strong technical expertise in electrical or mechatronics engineering and the ability to independently diagnose complex well performance and equipment issues.
The role combines field leadership with office-based engineering responsibilities, including system design, equipment selection, performance analysis, and technical reporting. The Field Engineer III acts as a key client interface, supports business development and tendering activities, and provides technical guidance to junior engineers and field personnel while ensuring full compliance with HSE and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation, commissioning, and startup of Artificial Lift Systems and Automation equipment
- Working as part of team at the pulling unit and COROD Operations
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose complex well performance issues and provide corrective action plans
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor well performance and analyze production data.
- Optimize well performance to maximize production and extend equipment run life
- Conduct failure analysis (RCA) for downhole and surface equipment.
- Prepare technical reports and performance summaries.
- Participate in business development activities and client relationship management.
- Assist in preparing bids, tenders, and technical-commercial offers.
- Provide technical support to sales and tendering teams.
- Prepare system design calculations and equipment selection sheets
- Train junior engineers and field technician
- Participate in client meetings and technical presentations.
Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in harsh environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Strong client-facing and communication abilities.
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to balance field operations with office engineering responsibilities.
- Commercial awareness and business mindset
Qualification
- Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Bachelor's degree is a must
- 3+ years experience in Artificial Lift Systems specially Automation is a must
