Your role and responsibilities

This role is contributing to the Energy Industries division in Switzerland.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading the proposal of consulting services or solutions to meet customer needs, negotiating contracts to secure consulting assignments, and managing multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
- Participating in customer discussions, preparing technical proposals, conducting techno‑commercial negotiations, facilitating co‑creation workshops, and providing technical guidance to customers, utilities, and OEM teams.
- Developing strong relationships with key technical contacts and actively maintaining an ongoing technical knowledge exchange to support collaboration.
- Executing, supervising, and supporting onsite or remote commissioning, optimization, testing, and analysis of excitation systems with a focus on power system stability and grid code compliance requirements, while producing high‑quality technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications for the role
- You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field; a PhD is considered an asset.
- You have 5-10 years of experience in power system analysis, grid integration studies, and dynamic simulation.
- You bring a strong background in synchronous machines and excitation systems, including expertise in AVR/PSS modelling and grid compliance (highly desirable).
- You are proficient in at least two simulation tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and in using Python for simulation scripting and data processing.
- You have demonstrated experience conducting transient stability studies, electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations, fault ride‑through (FRT) assessments, harmonic and RMS dynamic performance analyses, and eigenvalue analysis.
- You are fluent in English and ideally German, and you communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
