Are you the right person for the job?
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IET wiring regulations (BS 7671)
- Proficient in reading and creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical
- Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI programming in TIA Portal
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting industrial networks (Modbus/Profinet/Ethernet-IP)
- Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations - preferred
- Understanding of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/61511) - preferred
What will your role look like?
- Lead complex electrical engineering projects, including FAT and SAT activities
- Generate technical documentation, including control philosophies, FDS, and C&E documents
- Produce detailed cable schedules and block cable diagrams
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to design cable routing and associated containment
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs
- Support installation and commissioning activities on site
- Produce detailed costings and labour estimates to assist the sales team
- Provide technical support to engineers and customers
