Quality Systems Officer
Location: Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose
- Support the implementation of management systems to meet business objectives and expectations, using recognized international standards and regulatory requirements as minimum benchmarks.

- Operate in alignment with company, international, and industry best practices to ensure the Quality Management System supports business directives.
- Adapt to the complexities of a multi-cultural, multi-national, and multi-venture environment.
Generic Accountabilities
Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensure all activities comply with safety, health, environment, and quality policies, regulations, and standards.
Nationalization Program
- Contribute to the development and training of local employees. This is a key responsibility for expatriate employees.
Compliance
- Ensure all actions adhere to anti-trust, competition laws, and company firewall policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare reports on HSEQ management systems performance for management review.
2. Support projects related to HSEQ management systems or production best practices.
3. Contribute to continuous improvement activities and track progress for the department.
4. Assist management in interpreting applicable regulations and support regulatory compliance.
5. Support the development and reporting of HSEQ management systems to enhance performance.
6. Coordinate audit activities, including categorizing findings and evaluating corrective actions.
7. Support annual HSEQ assessments and ISO audit programs, reporting progress and findings.
8. Attend HSEQ management reviews, focusing on performance, verification progress, findings, and improvement action statuses.
9. Conduct shutdown gate review assessments and report readiness to shutdown steering committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in safety operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Solid understanding of all operational aspects of safety or quality functions.
Technical and Business Skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications.
- MMUP/UPDA certificate membership.
- Offshore working experience preferred, especially in new offshore projects.
- Fundamental knowledge of quality assurance.
