Project Manager
Location: [Abu Dhabi, UAE
Role Purpose:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects in compliance with requirements and standards (technical, contractual, safety, etc). This role encompasses leadership, technical, and organizational responsibilities to ensure project profitability and uphold company values and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, control, and manage project activities and resources to meet objectives related to quality, cost, and time.
- Review and validate project baseline schedules and budgets; monitor progress and related costs, taking action to meet objectives.
- Assess project needs, set strategies for efficient resource provision and management, and optimize productivity and costs.
- Coordinate with section managers to secure timely prerequisites and maintain workflow, avoiding delays.
- Select suitable work methodologies and oversee site execution, intervening as required for optimum results.
- Ensure compliance with designs, specifications, standards, and quality requirements via QA/QC reports.
- Approve and validate operations with additional costs; review the work of external providers to meet quality and cost goals.
- Collect and analyze project performance data, and develop action plans to secure project profitability.
- Manage all contractual matters, negotiate changes, and coordinate internal support to protect company interests.
- Oversee timely production, submission, and follow-up of reports and documents to prevent delays.
- Ensure comprehensive document control and data entry for full traceability and record safety.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project-related risks.
- Organize regular team meetings to set targets, discuss issues, and review progress for workforce engagement.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, on site.
- Liaise with external parties to maintain positive relationships and develop communication strategies.
- Lead, motivate, and coach staff to achieve individual and team productivity.
- Manage individual performance, recognize talent, and coordinate development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree with PMP Certification; MBA or master's degree is an advantage.
- Accreditation from the national engineering body in your country.
- At least 10 years of on-site experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on quality, time, and cost management.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
