Job Title: Design Coordinator

Working Location: On-site (Project Site), Abu Dhabi, UAE

Role Purpose:

As a Design Coordinator, you will act as the central link between the project site, the design team, and external consultants to ensure timely preparation and submission of drawings in accordance with project specifications. Your focus will be on seamless communication, eliminating delays, and ensuring drawings meet all requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze contractual documents to identify the project's scope and coordinate with contract administration on potential risks.

- Maintain effective internal and external communication to understand project design needs and communicate them to the design team.

- Set the sequence of drawings preparation according to site priorities and constraints to ensure continuous project execution.

- Track the progress of design preparations, update stakeholders on any delays, and manage their impact on project planning.

- Mediate between the project manager and design team to implement adjustments based on actual site circumstances.

- Review drawings with consultants to ensure compliance with specifications, make minor revisions, and escalate complex issues.

- Guarantee traceability of all drawings, ensuring the most updated versions are in use and all documentation is controlled.

- Prepare as-built drawings for completed work and ensure their proper filing for future site maintenance needs.

- Provide technical assistance as needed to meet project standards and enhance work quality.

- Guide and supervise design drafters/technicians to support timely, high-quality delivery.

Requirements:

- Engineering degree in Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

- Membership or accreditation from the national engineering body in your country.

- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in design work.

- Proficient in CAD and Photoshop.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic, and French.
