Lead Structural Design Engineer

Location: Qatar

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Leadership: Develop, analyze, and review complex structural designs and calculations for buildings, foundations, and, where applicable, industrial structures.

- Team Management: Guide and mentor junior engineers and BIM/CAD technicians, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project schedules.

- Coordination: Interface with architects, MEP engineers, and clients to ensure a clash-free design and to resolve technical issues during construction.

- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local regulations, safety standards, and international codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes).

- Documentation: Prepare and approve design reports, material specifications, and structural drawings.

- Site Support: Provide technical support for site supervision, ensuring construction adheres to the designed intent.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on high-rise or large-scale projects.

- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of modeling and analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD/Revit.

- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional body membership.

- Skills: Strong understanding of load transfer systems and structural stability.
