Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as an authority for testing and verification activities. Each day, you will facilitate completion of testing activities efficiently, timely, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by providing feedback for the design process from the testing perspective.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creating standard processes and tools for testing.
• Developing, implementing, and improving relevant policies and procedures to improve testing effectiveness across the Testing function.
• Testing products and systems and validating materials to ensure these follow prescribed technical specifications.
• Acting as an authority to ensure all applicable requirements, maintaining test reports and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal, or ABB internal requirements.
• Responsible for ECAP Program in product electrical tests stations.
• Responsible of Witness Test stations installations, tools, maintenance, test equipment, headcount, keep track of activities and events, attend visitors (inspectors and customers), etc.
• Develops projects to improve existing test protocols and capability, resulting in greater efficiency, accuracy, and/or reliability of test outcomes.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• 6+ years of experience in electrical testing or similar roles.
• Responsible for electrical testing at the plant (80% switchboards & 20% MCCs).
• Influence and collaborate with the electrical testing team.
• Experience with more efficient testing methods and the development of new testing methods.
• Experience interpreting electrical diagrams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SAP.
• Experience with Proficy (PLC) and AutoCAD.
• Effective communication skills.
• Advanced English.
