We are looking for a Senior Architect for one of our clients with the following details:

Start date: ASAP

Project Duration: 3 years

Location: Dubai UAE

Qualification and Experience required:

• At least 10 years of total experience with a minimum of 5 years on Airport projects.
• Barch / March Degree or equivalent
• Experience of leading teams or projects
• Experience of designing a large-scale project from beginning to completion.
• UAE/ Society of Engineers membership (meeting the criteria for Abu Dhabi Licence is a must)
• International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent) and Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent) are preferred
• Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements
• Full knowledge of International Codes and Standards, regulations and submission requirements
• Developed knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Principles and Sustainable Design principles
• Strong proficiency in Autocad and BIM (revit) skill
• Experience on Interior Design would be an advantage
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and people orientation competencies

Activities:

Design delivery:

• Work with the design team on the delivery of a project from the concept stage to the project completion and take the lead on the architectural and coordination aspects of the project.
• Responsible for ensuring the design meets all relevant International Codes and Standards required for the project.
• Ensuring that all project deliverables (drawings, specifications, etc) meet the contractual requirements.
• Responsible to ensure that all projects' deliverables are fully coordinated technically across the different disciplines.
• Ensuring that works are fully coordinated with all sub-consultants.
• Verifying that the applicable Standard of deliverables for each stage is fully met and is reviewed for quality before submitting to the Client.
• Act as the project's Design Coordinator and contribute (fully or partially) to the overall design management activities.
• Carry-out independent design reviews for all types of projects.
• Active participation in meetings, including with the Client and Stakeholders, recording of minutes and reporting.

Documentation:

• Ensure all meetings with Client's representatives or external subconsultants are properly minuted and the minutes dispatched within the agreed time.
• All design deliverables are done according to the applicable standards and all relevant documentation is maintained for all deliverables.
• Ensure that minutes are prepared and dispatched for multidisciplinary internal coordination meeting.

Coordination:

• Coordinate works internally within all disciplines and ensure that the design is fully coordinated.
• Coordinate works with all external agencies involved, including Stakeholders, Sub-Consultants and all approving agencies/authorities.
• Ensure that all coordination works are planned as per the project program and tracked to ensure that all deliverables are received on time.

Resource management:

• Participate with Head of Architecture/ Design Managers in resource allocation and ensure that allocated resources are utilized effectively to meet the project deadlines.
• Communicate clearly to the team about all aspects of the project to ensure that the team is always fully aware of the project.
