Major accountabilities of Position

• Detail Engineering for Offshore upstream project. Design of Substations, Electrical Power Distribution Systems and procurement activities for all MV and LV Electrical equipment and items.
• Develop discipline work plans. Overall supervision of Electrical engineers, designers and technical personnel in the execution of the project and development of project deliverables.
• Have experience of Work share with support office.
• Prepare cost, time and resource requirement estimates on assigned projects.
• Manage design change within project budget and schedule framework.
• Effective interaction with client engineering team for approval of design deliverables.
• Represent organizational competency and capabilities at various forums.
• Electrical design for the assigned project interacting with other disciplines, client and vendors as required.
• Experience in the production, design, evaluation and specification of Electrical equipment and automation systems, package items and Electrical bulk items including cabling in detailed design packages.
• Development of Electrical specifications, data sheets, Single Line Diagram, Schedules, I/O list, Layout drawings, wiring details, Equipment sizing, Electrical MTO. Supervising.
• Perform all associated Electrical calculations covering, equipment sizing, cable sizing, Sub sea Cable Sizing, UPS sizing, Earthing Calculation etc.
• Perform/check various power system analysis study - load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient stability, harmonic analysis, arc flash, protection coordination, etc.
• Experience in preparation of Material Requisition, Scope of Works, review of offers, technical clarifications, technical bid evaluation, etc.
• Participation in site survey and data collection for Electrical design.
• Participation in Design reviews, E-HAZOP, Energy Optimization review, Value engineering, constructability other workshops.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements of both self and within the discipline team.
• Ensuring technical integrity of the Electrical deliverables for the project. In particular ensure compliance with the work scope and with applicable international standards.
• Work on proposals and prepare MH estimation.

Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required
Job Specific Knowledge:

• Experience in execution of Detail Engineering for offshore, onshore Oil and Gas projects.
• An experienced and highly skilled Lead Engineer to lead and oversee the Electrical Design for upstream offshore oil and gas projects.
• Perform Detail engineering for major Oil and Gas projects involving offshore platforms, Substation/Switchgear room, 132KV, 33kV Switchgears and Transformers. Electrical automation system, LV and MV Variable Speed Drives etc.
• Preparation/review of all Engineering deliverables such as design basis, specifications, datasheets, Load Lists, Sizing calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Adequacy check reports, Schedules & MTO.
• Substation layouts & Electrical Field layouts for offshore & onshore projects.
• Guiding 3D modeler for 3D modelling activity.
• Technical Bid Evaluation for 132kV, 33kV GIS, AIS, Power Transformers, MV variable Speed drive & Motors and all other Electrical Equipment and bulk materials.

Industry Specific Experience:

• Education:Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chartered Engineer is preferred.
  Good knowledge of ADNOC standards, SHELL DEPs, International standards such as IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA, IEC Standards.
• HSE Capability: Good knowledge of Hazardous Area classification, Electrical Safety in design, Sustainable design engineering, E-HAZOP, HAZID, HAZOP.
• IT Skills: Computer skills with MS office and Electrical engineering / sizing software such as SPEL, ETAP, EDSA, SKM, CYME, EMTP, Battery sizing, Lighting calculation softwares, etc.
• People Skills: Good communication skill, Leadership skill and able to guide team working locally as well as for workshare with centre of excellence and integrated delivery, mentoring junior Engineers.
• Other: Good command on English language - verbal as well as writing skills, report writing, presentation to client.
• Authority / Freedom to Act / Decision Making (Including Budgetary Responsibility)
  Extent of Guidance or Control: Should be able to guide team of Engineers and Designers, Workshare
  Impact of Decisions on Results: Being a discipline lead on the project, should be able to control budget, plan and deliver as per schedule, take decisions for project success.
